John Janak
Senior Database Manager
John Janak has been with The Jacob France Institute since October 1997. His primary responsibility is to maintain and process multiple databases and accept analytical assignments as a research team member. He is also responsible for acquiring, storing, retrieving and analyzing administrative records from multiple local, state and federal agencies.
John is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of the content of these records. He conducts routine and ad hoc auditing of record accuracy and coverage, and cooperates with The Jacob France Institute's System Administrator to store these records in compliance with applicable security specifications and record retrieval priorities.
He participates in research team design or analytical queries for the retrieval of selected records needed to carry out specified research initiatives. John also conducts selected statistical analyses and prepares appropriate tabulations, graphics and text to report the results of these investigations.
Technical Areas: Unix System Administration, SAS, "C", and Oracle DBMS system.
