Shannon Lee

Research Associate

Shannon Lee, MPA is a research associate for the Jacob France Institute (JFI) in the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business. Shannon’s primary research focus includes employment outcomes and trends in employment opportunities for work training participants and welfare recipients, and regional economic impact analysis of government/non-profit funded programs. She is also responsible for survey design and administration, data collection and analysis, table and chart creation and design, performance evaluation, and completing and submitting research findings to clients.

Shannon is the data analyst for the National STEM Consortium, a community college career and
technical training program grant funded by the U.S. Department of Labor and presented administrative data
collection protocols at the 2014 and 2015 National STEM Consortium annual conferences. Shannon has conducted economic impact studies for organizations such as the Maryland Department of Labor,
Licensing, and Regulation, the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, the University System of Maryland, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is responsible for managing registration, coordinating speaker logistics, and conducting analysis of the exit surveys for the annual Baltimore Data Day conference at the University of Baltimore.
